Role Summary
The senior optometrist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing vision problems, and prescribing corrective lenses or contact lenses. The role requires advanced knowledge of optometry techniques, clinical precision, and strong customer service orientation in a luxury retail environment. The Sr. Optometrist will also assist in frame and lens selection, ensuring that the customer receives both the best vision correction and a premium shopping experience. The role involves maintaining clinical records, adhering to optical standards, and supporting store sales through professional consultation and product expertise.
KRA: Task / Activities
· Conduct accurate eye tests and vision checks for walk-in customers.
· Prescribe appropriate lenses or eye care solutions based on the diagnosis.
· Maintain optometry equipment and ensure hygiene standards.
· Guide customers in understanding their eye conditions and treatment options.
· Maintain patient records and follow up on prescribed care.
· Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses based on prescription, facial features, lifestyle, and fashion.
· Provide information about product features, pricing, offers, and warranty.
· Upsell and cross-sell lenses, coatings, and accessories.
· Meet monthly sales targets and contribute to overall store performance.
· Handle customer queries and complaints professionally.
KPI: Performance Metrics
- Accuracy of Eye Refraction and Diagnosis- Prescription Quality and Customer Satisfaction Scores- Conversion Rate from Eye Test to Sales- Repeat Customer and Referral Rate- Compliance with Clinical and Hygiene Standards- Contribution to Team Sales Targets- Training and Mentorship of Junior Optometrists or Sales Staff
Preferred skills
· Optometry degree.
· Valid state optometry license.
· Good knowledge of lens types, coatings, and current eyewear trends
· Good communication and team collaboration.
· Basic computer knowledge for billing and records management
· Pleasant personality with a customer-first attitude
· Willingness to work on weekends and rotational shifts

The candidate must be clinically competent, patient-centric, and detail-oriented. A calm, composed demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills is essential. She should demonstrate empathy and professionalism while interacting with clients and maintain the brand’s premium image.
